A Secure Job

As attacks increase, U.S. struggles to recruit computer security experts raises an intriguing career possibility for engineers with a solid grounding in computers and networking. I wonder what's required to become a bona fide security specialist?

I'd like to to wish you all very happy holidays, however and wherever you celebrate them. With the recovering economy, may we all have a happy and prosperous 2010.

They have security courses that people take to do this type of work. The pay is not as great as one would think and the educational level of these people is often higher than one might think... they can pick from people that have MBA's plus highly technical degrees on top of that and pay them 50k a year when they are worth 100k... security of job? Yes... but as long as it is secure they are WAY underpaid... My opinion only.

In the tech boom these types could have easily been pulling in 200 to 250k with risk of course hindsight risk..
